The County of Parkland put on their 7th Volunteer Appreciation night for the community associations in the county on April 5, 2014.
Annual Volunteer Appreciation Night
Organized by Parkland County, Alberta
Held at the Clymont Hall, on Highway 60, South of Enoch
April 5, 2014
Here is a little bit about the evening –
The Decorating
There were balloon arrangements in various areas of the hall, as well as over the tables. Consistency with the theme was created by two very large bird kites, one “soaring” on each side of the stage. The decorating was original and creative.

The presentation was creatively and skillfully integrated into the evening’s theme by doing an analogy of a kite.

The last volunteers to be honored were our own Sib and Don Peden. I guess they saved the best for last! The award was presented by the Mayor of Parkland County, Rod Sheigec, also a member of the Carvel Ukrainian Cultural Society, represented above.

Sib and Don are amazing people.
Sib is a person who needs to be busy and productive and Don backs her all the way. He realizes how important it is for Sib to contribute to various things. And he gives her a strong hand and contributes to the job at hand, and is patient until she feels the job is done and is ready to go home.
