and the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA),
our programs and events are considered Public Events
and that people attending those events do NOT have a reasonable expectation of privacy
– and their photograph may be taken.
Accordingly, the Magnolia Community Hall is not required to obtain verbal or written permission
from anyone whose photograph may have been taken,
or from parents or guardians of children whose photos may have been taken.
However, be advised that it is the Magnolia Community Club practice and desire
to accommodate wherever possible and immediately remove (or blur the image)
of the picture of any person who requests that their picture be removed.
This may include a parent or legal guardian making this request of their child’s photograph.
